Differentiating the Symptoms of Migraine from Headaches

It is rather easy to differentiate symptoms of migraine from those of regular headaches.  If you tend to experience headaches on a regular basis, it is vital that you start learning to recognize migraine symptoms.  In general migraine can be divided into two forms.  If you are having migraine with aura, most of the times you will be warned of the upcoming of the attack by several signals such as seeing flashlights, blind spots and zigzag patterns.  The pain will usually occur around the eyes and the pain will develop to the upper or sides of the head.

Apart from the vision signs, you may also experience other symptoms of migraine such as chronic fatigue and even depression or anxiety before the real throbbing headache occurs.  Jittery may also be experienced by some people and when this occurs a person will become restless and worrying without reasons.  To reduce jittery, some people are observed to get engaged in increased activities such as pacing around or talking excessively.

The symptoms of restlessness can occur a few days before the actual headache appears.  That is why a lot of migraine sufferers do admit that the symptoms are often intolerable and it is important that they seek proper treatment.  In more severe conditions, the pain will not only appear on the temple or one side of the head, but the whole head.  This is a very bad condition but the good thing is it only happens to a small fraction of migraine sufferers.
